Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your stay at our safari lodge in Ranthambore.

Where is Bhadrawati Safari Lodge located?

Bhadrawati is a riverside resort in Ranthambore, set on 6 acres of organic farmland on the bank of the River Chambal at Village Sewati Khurd, Tehsil Khandar, District Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan 322001.

How far is the lodge from Sawai Madhopur Railway Station?

The lodge is about an hour's drive from Sawai Madhopur Railway Station. Our travel desk can arrange a taxi pick-up – call +91 77425 79334 for directions.

What types of rooms do you offer?

We have 12 Luxury Tents with private sit-outs, decorated in traditional Rajasthani style, and air-conditioned Cottage Rooms with verandas. The luxury tents in Ranthambore are our signature stay.

How many guests can stay in a luxury tent?

Each luxury tent has a king-size bed and can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids, or 3 adults with an extra bed. The extra mattress or bed is chargeable.

Do you arrange jungle safaris in Ranthambore National Park?

No, we don't book safaris. Jeep and canter safaris into Ranthambore National Park are booked through the Rajasthan Forest Department's official website – book early in peak season, as permits sell out. Our travel desk can still help with taxis, two-wheelers and local sightseeing.

What else is there to do at the lodge?

A crocodile safari by boat on the Chambal, bicycle tours of nearby villages, nature walks along the river, bonfire evenings and birding from our riverside sit-outs, the swimming pool, a badminton court and Rajasthani home-style meals.

Do the tents have attached bathrooms and hot water?

Yes. Every luxury tent has an attached bathroom with a shower, western toilet, running hot water and premium toiletries.

Is food available at the lodge?

Yes. Our restaurant serves fresh local meals and Rajasthani delicacies, cooked with vegetables from the farm and local market. There is also a coffee shop on site.

Is there Wi-Fi and a swimming pool?

Yes. High-speed Wi-Fi is available and guests can use the swimming pool in the gardens.

How many nights should I stay?

We recommend at least 2 nights and 3 days. That gives you time for a couple of park safaris, a boat ride on the Chambal and a slow morning by the river.

When is the best time to visit Ranthambore?

The core zones of Ranthambore National Park are generally open from October to June and close during the monsoon. October to March is pleasant and great for birding on the Chambal; April to June is hot but often good for tiger sightings near water.

Is Bhadrawati a five-star luxury resort?

We are a nature resort in Ranthambore with comfortable luxury tents and warm, homely service – an organic farm stay rather than a five-star hotel. Guests come for the river, the quiet and the food, and over half of them come back.

How do I book?

Book directly online through our secure booking engine, call +91 77425 79334, email booksafarilodge@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp.
